Time Out says

The Gardens Hotel was named the "prettiest hotel in Key West" by the New York Times, and it’s easy to see why. Built in 1875, this romantic inn is set in an idyllic shady garden, where orchids, bamboo and palms flourish amid fountains, ponds and a heated swimming pool. An aviary completes the picture. Rooms are decked out with Bahamian-style plantation furniture fashioned from yew and mahogany.
