Miami has celebrated plenty of 305 Days over the years. But this one might require a bald cap.

On Thursday, March 5—aka 305 Day—a Pitbull lookalike contest is taking over Thorn Miami. The assignment? Show up as your best version of Mr. 305 himself: crisp white button-down, black tie, goatee, dark shades and, yes, a shiny shaved head (real or rubber).

The event is a tribute to Miami native Pitbull, born Armando Christian Pérez, who grew up in the city and turned its area code into a global calling card. Over a career spanning more than 20 years, the rapper has sold more than 25 million albums and over 100 million singles worldwide, including No. 1 hits like “Give Me Everything” and “Timber,” and earned the nicknames “Mr. 305” and “Mr. Worldwide.” Few artists are more synonymous with Miami’s swagger.

But now, for one night, the spotlight shifts to the doppelgängers.

Thorn will host the contest starting at 6pm, with music by DJ Illicit and cocktail specials flowing all evening. The winner scores a $150 FirePit Hospitality gift card—plus, presumably, eternal bragging rights in their group chat.

The party doubles as a 305 Day celebration, an unofficial hometown holiday that honors Miami’s 305 area code and the culture that comes with it. Around the city, restaurants and bars typically roll out themed specials, cafecito-fueled events and live music. At Thorn, that translates to “305 cocktails” and brand-backed drink specials from Zacapa, Ketel One, Bulleit and Casamigos.

If you need liquid courage before stepping into character, the bar’s regular menu has plenty of playful, tropical flavors. There’s the Tres Delinquentes, made with habanero tequila, lime and agave for a spicy kick; the rum-forward Sunset Dreams with pineapple and coconut; and the Voodoo Doll, a bourbon-based mix with tamarind ginger and red wine.

Costumes aren’t mandatory, but they’re strongly encouraged. The more convincing your inner Mr. Worldwide, the better your chances. So dust off those aviators, practice your “¡Dale!” and maybe rehearse a few bars of “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” for good measure.
