Check out Beaker and Gray’s new Midtown cocktail lounge

People really loved Bardot, the intimate Midtown music venue that played host to a really stellar selection of bands and DJs before it closed suddenly a little over a year ago. Since then, that space has sat vacant. But the good people over at Beaker and Gray have changed that with their newest nightlife concept: Boombox.

The new cocktail lounge (3456 N Miami Ave) opens just next door to Beaker’s other recent venture, the very tasty Mason Eatery. Together, the two concepts are poised to create a dinner and drinks one-two punch.

Boombox will open for happy hour Monday through Friday, from 5pm to 8pm. The late-night crowd spilling over from Wynwood should have plenty of time to stop by Boombox—the venue closes at 3am. The cocktails—an area Beaker & Gray have proven very talented—will be designed to be “fun and fast,” with options including the “longest island iced tea” and “lemon drop the mic.”

There shall be music too, starting with live, local bands on Monday and continuing with local DJs spinning house, hip-hop and open format throughout the week. Curious? Mark your calendar. The grand opening of it all happens this Thursday.
