Miami doesn’t really have seasons. We can’t look forward to the changing of leaves or the first snow of the year. It all just kind of blends together into one sunny blur and, before we know it, a year has gone by and we’re late on our taxes once again.

But Miami has had one harbinger of winter to cling to for the last handful of decades: Knaus Berry Farm. The famous, seasonal farm down in Homestead opens every year around this time and runs through mid-April, serving a selection of fresh fruit and baked goods delicious enough to get thousands of Miamians to drive an hour south. And if you’ve ever even tried to get one Miamian to pick you up from the airport, you understand what an impressive feat this is.

One big reason so many people look forward to Knaus Berry Farm’s opening comes in the gooey form of their revered cinnamon rolls. These things are legendary, baked hot and fresh every day, and big enough to use as a flotation device in the unlikely case of an emergency water landing. If you are lucky enough to get some before they sell out, chances are it’s all you’ll think about for at least the next two weeks.

So, obviously, be prepared to see quite a few of these bad boys on your respective feeds over the next few months, which ain’t a bad thing in our opinion. If there is one thing we can get behind, it’s more cinnamon rolls on social media.

A quick reminder that Knaus Berry Farm is cash only and, also, you should really try some of the other menu items while you’re there too: key lime pie, homemade jams and, maybe, another order of cinnamon rolls for the drive home?

(Bonus tip: while you’re in Homestead, drive over to Robert is Here for the best shakes in the galaxy.)
