Fri 7

First Fridays Beach Picnic

First Fridays closes out its season of spectacular beachfront picnics with Endless Summer—because summer ain't over till they say it is. Soak up the last bit of sun, sand, surf and turf at a sandcastle-building workshop or floating on one of the complimentary floaties. There will be frozen treats, organic juices and kosher snacks from The Carrot (prebook to have yours at the picnic), plus a hand massage station and a drum circle. The picnic takes place on the sand behind the Surfside Community Center.

The Tasting Train by Brightline

If you’re into multitasking and efficient socializing, you’ll appreciate the Brightline’s latest play at getting oenophiles to ride its slick fast train. The Tasting Train is a roving experience that takes riders from West Palm Beach to Miami all while plying them with delicious Far Niente wine and paired bites. Along the way, and at each station, there’ll be plenty of music and entertainment to make the whole thing feel like a giant cocktail party.

Sat 8

ArtsLaunch 2018

This free party marks the opening of public ticket sales for more than 170 Arsht programs—purchasable with no handling fees on this day only. Stay for the author conversations, chef demos, workshops and tours, with 100 arts organizations touting their lineups at the Community Village. Budding performers can participate in dance classes, a cappella singing and much more. Brief musical showcases take place throughout the day (10:30am–5:30pm) inside the Ziff Ballet Opera House and Knight Concert Hall’s green rooms. ArtLaunch2018 is a 12-hour spectacular with plenty to see and do for the entire family.

Haunted Hautness Launch Party

There’s truth to the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it idiom, especially as it refers to summer. You were just in a bikini celebrating July 4th and now you’re in one gearing up for Halloween—yep! Consider this rooftop bash the pre-game to the actual Halloween party happening in Wynwood on October 20th. Dance, hang and get a free Tito’s Vodka drink with your RSVP.

Taco Takeover

Over ten Miami restaurants are coming together under one roof for a celebration of tacos and tequila. Taquiza, American Social, 222 Taco and more favorites will be slinging out as many tacos as you can safely fit inside your stomach over at Soho Studios. Come prepared to eat, drink and repeat.
