The bounce house is an American birthday party tradition as rich and celebrated as creepy clowns and shitty gifts from grandma. But the bounce house we knew and loved has apparently evolved quite a bit since our youth.
Meet Big Bounce America, a traveling bounce village that bills itself as the world’s largest bounce house, an honor that is a bit hard to verify since there appears to be no international registry of massive bounce houses. But we’ll take its word for it.
Big Bounce America is about to embark on a tour of the states and it’s coming to South Florida on March 23. Big Bounce will take over Pinecrest’s Evelyn Greer Park (8200 SW 124th St, Pinecrest) for three days of bouncy madness open to both adults and kids and even the dreaded teenagers.
Hour-long sessions in the 20,000 square-foot bounce house are split up among age groups to ensure adults aren’t catapulting themselves over toddlers. The event will also feature a DJ, a big ol’ ball pit, a tiny bounce house obstacle course and more. Tickets are available now from $9 to $17. Happy bouncing!
