The Vagabond Hotel launches three new food concepts today

The Vagabond Hotel has been one of the star attractions of MiMo since its renovation a few years ago. The hotel is as charming as the day it opened in 1953 but things have been quiet over there for the last year. That (hopefully) changes today.

That’s because today the new and improved Vagabond Village opens to the public. The Village, an ambitious renovation, consists of a trio of new concepts: Vagabond Sushi Bar & Market, Brigitte at Vagabond and the Oasis Pool and Bar.

Vagabond Sushi Bar & Market specializes in—you guessed it—sushi. The restaurant will serve nigiri, sashimi, izakaya dishes, bento boxes and more alongside cocktails, sake and wine. The adjacent Vagabond Market will sell grab-and-go sushi, dinners, sake, wine, beer, candy, gifts, flowers and more.

Brigitte is more of a nightlife concept. The full bar doubles as a lowkey billiard lounge open 8pm till “late.” And even the beloved pool bar has gotten a touch-up with some new furniture and lighting.

This all comes from the mind of Amir Ben Zion, the Miami restaurateur behind the late Bardot and Gigi and, now, the third coming of the Vagabond. We can’t wait to see the new look.
