Still mourning the upcoming loss of the Wynwood Yard and its neighbor O Cinema? Us too. Two of Wynwood’s coolest cultural hotspots ousted for another lame apartment complex you can’t afford. It sucks. We know.
But! It’s not all bad news. Sure, the Wynwood Yard will be no more come spring 2019—but it will still live on in Miami. Not only is a North Beach location for the Yard in the planning stages, but today the group announced they will be opening a new Doral Yard next spring.
The Doral Yard sounds mighty similar to the original and should bring with it all the things folks loved about that location.
The Wynwood Yard’s restaurant, Charcoal Garden Bar + Grill, will have a second life in the Doral Yard. More food options will be located inside a 5,000-square-foot indoor space, which will house a selection of different vendors. Another 5,000-square-feet of partially-covered outdoor space will be dedicated to live entertainment and the sort of community programming people loved so much at the Wynwood Yard.
You’ll be able to see the finished product this spring at the northeast corner of Main Street and Paseo Boulevard in Downtown Doral. Until then, head over to Wynwood and pay your final respects to the original Yard.
