This new Miami class lets you workout with professional soccer players

Ever noticed that soccer players are really in shape? Like, really, in shape? It’s almost like they do nothing but run around for hours, seven days a week—sprinting and kicking and jumping.

Well, turns out that’s a pretty effective workout, which is why three local Miami FC pros—Jonathan Borrajo, Rhett Bernstein and Mason Trafford—decided to start SoccerShape, a weekly workout class designed by professional soccer players for non-professional soccer players (who would like to look and move like professional soccer players).

SoccerShape isn’t a soccer clinic, rather a class that combines conditioning and strength training with soccer drills to create a dynamic workout that entertains more than your average boot camp. You can buy individual classes, four-class packs or a membership starting at $69 a month.

Classes take place at three locations: on the sand at Lummus Park, Urban Soccer Five (1125 NW 71st Street) and Shooting Stars Indoor Soccer (10376 W State Road 84) in Davie for all you Broward folk. The best part: classes are kept intimate, which is probably much more comfortable than the seven billion resolutioners currently hogging the treadmills at your gym.
