Back in October, we learned that the Taco Stand, a San Diego taco chain that has earned a loyal following over on the west coast, was coming to Wynwood. This week, we finally have an opening date: this Wednesday, February 21.

To start off with a bang, the Taco Stand (located at 313 NW 25th Street) will be offering free tacos for its first three days in business. Stop by from noon to 3pm Wednesday, the 21st, through Friday, the 22nd, to claim your free lunch tacos (there is a single-serving limit, so don’t get too crazy now). The menu includes taco staples like al pastor and carne asada as well as burritos, quesadillas and breakfast tacos.

The Taco Stand also has another surprise up its sleeve too. Hidden behind the restaurant’s back wall will be a small Japanese omakase restaurant appropriately called Hiden.

After next week, the Taco Stand’s hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 10pm. On Friday and Saturday, it will be open until 2am. So it looks like drunk tacos are most definetely in your future.
