Dressed up like a kitsch tiki hut and serving gluttonous portions of barbecued Southern food (even the drinks come in Mason jars), this is American excess at its finest. The walls are bamboo, a giant tree grows in the middle of the room and there is a hurricane mural on the ceiling. Tables are laden with six different barbecue sauces - sweet Georgia Brown etc - for dressing the spare ribs, whacked pork, beef brisket, meat loaf, wood-smoked chicken or piggie platter. Southern sides include fried green tomatoes, collards, corn bread, hush puppies and sweet potato with banana mash. Chocolate pecan pie provides a sinful climax. Antacids not included.
