Another strip mall find, Cheen Huaye brings soulful Yucatan cuisine to the suburbs. Apart from pics of Mayan ruins and the obligatory sombrero, the decor resists Mexican kitsch. Instead, the flavours do the talking: house-made guacamole or fragrant sopa de lima to start. Entrées include the usual medley of tacos, but with authentic seasonings such as chipotle aïoli, sour orange and mole sauce.
