Chéen-Huaye

Another strip mall find, Chéen-Huaye brings soulful Yucatan cuisine to the suburbs. Apart from pictures of Mayan ruins and the obligatory sombrero, the decor resists Mexican kitsch. Instead, the flavors do the talking: homemade guacamole or fragrant sopa de lima to start. Mains include the usual medley of tacos, but with authentic seasonings such as chipotle aioli, sour orange and mole sauce.
