You won’t need more than context clues to figure out what happens at this minimalist Wynwood restaurant. Crudos fuses different culinary styles in an artful way, sometimes even theatrically, to put forth something entirely unique. There’s sushi, Asian-inspired small plates, modern Japanese dishes, different types of ceviche and more global offshoots present on the menu. The ramen burger and cotton candy pork belly are among the more strange-sounding dishes, though both deserve a second look—chef and coowner Edixon Hernandez has a talent for pairing unexpected ingredients in a way that looks cool and tastes good. Cocktails follow the same MO, with fruit-forward concoctions that, while on the sweeter side, are refreshing.
