Tapas-style dining has spread way beyond Spanish cuisine. At Cvltvra—the Downtown restaurant with the Google-repelling name—your small plates come piled high with Latin food. From arepas and ceviche to chicharron, South American and Caribbean specialties make up the bulk of the shareable dishes here, which is a nice departure from the oversize servings one typically gets at Latin restaurants. Though if a chicken the size of your head is the kind of thing you expect from a restaurant, Cvltvra’s expansive menu has you covered with a larger selection of hearty mains, including burgers, steak and short rib. The space itself is also sizeable, and there’s a covered patio along Biscayne Boulevard that faces the AmericanAirlines Arena and offers prime people-watching.
