Located discreetly down a Coral Gables backstreet, Francesco is a class act. The upmarket decor may be a bit bland—white tablecloths, earth tones—but the gorgeous Peruvian cuisine has a kick. For starters, try the moreish potato dishes: Peruvian yellow potatoes, say, topped with aji amarillo and white cheese. The Peruvian bouillabaisse, and the squid ink risotto with shrimp, hit the spot. And you can’t go wrong with the ceviche. The loyal crowd of Latin American regulars says it all.
