Time Out says

Everything you need to know about Miami's most popular coffee shop, Panther Coffee (2390 NW 2nd Ave).

Unless you cultivate a pointed aversion to all things hipster, Panther Coffee is a wise choice of destination for a cup of java. This bright little venue is one of a new crop of cafés that target the "serious" coffee lover—we're talking mochas with no sugar and baristas with 20 years' experience. Artisan, small-batch beans rule; if you can't tell your Colombian Cencoic from your Ethiopian Suke Quto, the accommodating staff will be sure to help. Prices are reasonable—count $4–$5 for a coffee—and the summery outdoor patio makes for a lovely spot to roast yourself like a bean.

More Panther Coffee locations

Panther Coffee has a sister branches at 1875 Purdy Avenue in Miami Beach and 3407 Main Highway in Coconut Grove. You can also find Panther Coffee brew sold at numerous cafes and shops around town.

What to order

Before Panther Coffee, Miamians didn't know a thing about cold brew. It's a miracle the city survived on cafecito alone! The shop makes its signature brew using by soaking its proprietary espresso blend overnight in room-temperature filtered water. Easy enough, right? We've tried making this ourselves but the results are never as smooth-tasting or potent as the indelible kind you'll find at Panther.

Beyond coffee

Sunset Harbour's True Loaf Bakery supplies Panther Coffee with most of the pastries you'll find for sale, including the oversize almond croissant you need to wake up before sunrise to get your hands on—these babies fly. Also on the menu are Bunnie Cakes vegan cupcakes, empanadas (make sure you asked to have them warmed up) and craft beer. Yes, you can get more than one kind of buzzed at Panther.

Our Miami editorial team is constantly updating and reviewing the best attractions, activities and venues across the city, so that you're always in the know, with the best of Miami at your fingertips. Panther Coffee was most recently updated with new tips on June 30, 2017.
