Shuckers

While it’s yet to be determined whether Erik Spolestra can resurrect the Miami Heat—despite Dwayne Wade’s resigning—Shuckers Bar and Grill has had its own resurrection, successfully rising from the ashes of its 2013 deck collapse, which injured over 30 people, two of them seriously, during Game 4 of the NBA Finals. But a year later, the quarter-century-old bar was up and running again, slinging wings, beer and impeccable ceviche. Stop by to witness the rebirth, and take in the waterfront views.

Shuckers Bar & Grill is one of those bars, you see in the films. A joint where you can swing by and grab a few drinks, play pool and mingle with locals.

I wouldn't say it is anything more than that. The waiters/waitresses were friendly, the music was okay and the atmosphere was lively. The views over the ocean were fantastic. But I don't believe there is much more positive other than those mentioned.

It wasn't the cleanest place, everywhere just happened to look, for want of a better word, unsanitary. The whole place could have done with a rehaul and revamp, as it looked pretty old fashioned. On top of that, the open faced venue, with the water means it is a popular hangout for mosquitoes too! But I guess that can't be helped.

The food wasn't great, BUT, I do recommend their waffle fries. At $3.90 for a fialry large portion, I really enjoyed them!

Overall, OK but nothing more.
