Time Out says

A made-up holiday you should give a shuck about: National Oyster Day. OK—terrible mollusk pun aside, Coconut Grove’s the Spillover makes it worth your while to pencil in the day and then some. From August 5 through August 9, the restaurant offers a special menu that features po’ boys, shooters and fried appetizers all starring fresh oysters, including the Panacea Pearl, which is sustainably farmed in Florida. Leftover shells are donated to the University of Florida Smyth Lab, so everybody wins.
