This family-owned business focuses solely on traditional Cuban ice cream sandwiches. Flavors such as coconut, guava and almond are sandwiched between two moist slices of panetela, sponge cake sprinkled with sugar for an added crunch. They’re all made fresh daily and individually wrapped (and not in the messy paper that stuck to your ice cream as a kid). There’s a posted list with daily flavors, so even if your Spanish isn’t up to par with the rest of Hialeah, you can point and trust that anything you order will be delicious.
