An architect by trade, SHIRLANKA owner Shirley Gutierrez’s mission is to put an end to trend-driven retail. “Fashion is not about trends, labels or a price tag, it’s about self-expression and the style you discover for yourself,” she says. To help women dress for themselves, she’s sourced a mix one-of-a-kind styles and statement pieces for the Wynwood flagship. Introducing South American brands such as A Modo Mio, Andrea Landa, Crisobela, Margarita Diaz del Castillo and Misha Mujer is also part of the Colombian-born store owner’s MO as she guides local shoppers through uncharted territory. Clothes, shoes and accessories are priced between $30 and $1,300.
