Ailey II brings together the country’s finest early-career dance talent most outstanding emerging choreographers in what's become known as one of the most popular modern dance companies. Founded by Alvin Ailey in the 1970s, the company strives to establish an extended cultural community that provides dance performances, training and community programs for all people. Artistic director Francesca Harper carries on the original mission while bringing a fresh dimension to this beloved American company.
