Jamaican Independence Day is August 6, and South Floridians are celebrating big with live music, cultural events and community gatherings. After all, Florida has the second-largest Jamaican population in the United States! In Miami, all ages are welcome to ZeyZey on Thursday, August 6, for a mini festival headlined by Walshy Fire, Reid Waters, Neil Robertson, and Supa Dups. Admission is free with RSVP before 9 pm. On Saturday, August 8, the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center presents two of Jamaica’s most iconic artists, Beenie Man and Marcia Griffiths, as part of its Jamaican Independence Celebration. Ages 21+.
