Founded in 1971, this is Florida’s oldest black theater company. The M Ensemble’s primary goal is to revive classics by African-American playwrights, such as August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson, and to venerate black icons, as seen in Bill Harris’s Robert Johnson: Trick the Devil, a tribute to the legendary bluesman.
