Death looms large in George Balanchine’s 34-dancer waltz, La Valse, which concludes the dark, ferocious and moving final program of Miami City Ballet’s season. It’s preceded by Balanchine’s transformative Apollo, with its neoclassical movement and Greek mythological characters; and Concerto DSCH, a trailblazing world premiere by Alexei Ratmansky.
