The gritty Upper East Side is an unlikely site for a mini golf course, but this isn't your typical putt putt. The Upper East Side Garden features avant-garde sculptures along its nine-hole course, fashioned by local artists such as Hernan Bas and Cristina Lei Rodriguez. If this weren't trippy enough, it serves booze too. For a suggested $5 donation, you get a free drink and a round of golf. On Thursday night, the garden screens foreign films under the stars and draws an artsy, bohemian crowd. It's a brilliant concept, but still in its infancy, so call before you visit to double-check that it's open.
