Located between Biscayne Bay and an arm of the Atlantic Ocean, Miami Beach is known for their umbrella-lined beaches, seafood eateries and exciting art-deco architecture. There will always be sun, sand and surf to be had, but to celebrate the multi-dimensional destination in more ways than what meets the eye, Miami Beach is going all out this year with more health and fitness events than ever before. In March, visitors and residents can experience a month of sports, wellness and healthy lifestyle-focused programming led by the state’s top fitness gurus. Here’s what to know about Miami Beach Live! in 2023.

Kick off week

From March 4–6, enjoy the start to the festivities, which include free Crunch Fitness and Nike classes, a Friday night movie viewing of 'The Birdcage,' the Baptist Health 305 Half Marathon and 5K and the United First Responders Music Fest (a family-friendly affair with live performances from first responder musicians). Week one is also made popular by the Winter Party Festival, an annual, weeklong LGBTQ+ celebration of music, dance and community. Taking place at locations throughout the city, all events will raise funds in support of the National LGBTQ Task Force. Pro tip: from 10am–8pm, head to 6th Street and Ocean Drive in South Beach where guests can coalesce before sunset for a truly captivating—and IG-worthy—dancing at dusk moment.

Week two

From March 9–12, the fitness and beezy beachfront hangs continue. Guests can take free Crunch Fitness classes and then check out activations at the Vodafone King and Queen of the Courts Crown Series. On March 10, keep the whole fam entertained at the World Baseball Classic and Miami Marlins Family Fest, a free event featuring live performances by the Spam Allstars, PALO! and salsa star, Tito Nieves. Next on the lineup? Catch performances by Nile Rodgers plus CHIC with an opening vinyl set by Anderson Paak (aka DJ Pee Wee) at the Miami Beach Live! Concert on March 11.

Week three

Are you a regular at pick-up beach volleyball games? Do you love hearing new tunes? Or do you imagine yourself taking down ninja warrior-like obstacles? Either way, there's certainly something for you during week three. Keep your body moving at Miami Beach Live! from March 17–20 by attending free Crunch Fitness classes, the FIU Surf & Turf Volleyball tournament, Model Volleyball, the Association of Volleyball Professionals Miami Beach Open or the Monster Obstacle Course. Afterward, take a stroll down Ocean Drive for Art on the Drive Miami Beach—a three-day carnival experience with live music, art and family fun.

Week four

To close out this year’s jam-packed schedule of Miami Beach Live!, enjoy group classes from Crunch Fitness, the Monster Obstacle Course and the HYROX Miami Beach Fitness Festival from March 24–26. The HYROX Miami Beach Fitness Festival is a two-day, multi-disciplinary fest bringing together fitness competitions, a live music concert series and health/fitness activations. Cruise around the festival on the Beachfront between 9th and 10th Streets for a bittersweet ending to a month of jumpstarting your healthy routine.
