Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit A Thon

The content on this page is provided by a Time Out partner.

Wikipedia’s gender trouble is well documented. With the lack of female participation, content is skewed and notable women in art and history are largely underrepresented. Join us for an afternoon of communal Wikipedia editing related to contemporary art and feminism. Bring your laptop and ideas for entries to create or improve; female editors are particularly encouraged to attend, but editors of all genders, ages, and abilities are welcome! No Wikipedia editing experience necessary: we will provide tutorials for the beginner Wikipedian, research assistance, reference materials, free Wi-Fi—and delicious refreshments! You can prep yourself by checking out this Wikipedia editing tutorial: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Training/For_students No laptop? We will have a limited number of computers available in the library. No ideas? Consult our suggested list of artist and topics! RSVP here or register on our Wikipedia meetup page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Minneapolis/ArtAndFeminism/Walker_Art_Center
