About the Artist

Sosnowska is known for work informed by the functional, structural elements of everyday architecture—from staircases and windows to residential and commercial structures. She often looks to the utilitarian buildings of postwar Poland, considering ways she might reimagine aspects of these simple, unadorned constructions. Her large-scale sculptures and installations manipulate industrial, often architectural forms into disorienting configurations, altering the viewer’s perception of physical space.
