Better Beer Society recognizes and applauds your thirst for continued beer knowledge. However, there is a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to beer. Whether it's from Op-Ed pieces, best-of lists, blog posts, click-bait sites, etc...
It’s important to us that everyone has a universal understanding of this industry and the beverage we all know and love. It all starts with the fundamentals, which is what this course provides.
Which is why we are thrilled to introduce you to Better Beer Society University and our new programming aimed at educating consumers from all background and levels of experience.
Beer 101 is our 9-week orientation course aimed at educating students on the fundamentals of beer, as well as the industry that creates and supports it. This course offers students a well-rounded base knowledge and deep appreciation for beer as we deconstruct its elements and the brewing process.
Students will learn about beer history and geography while further developing their palates through tasting and building common beer vernacular. We'll also explore the business side of the industry, from understanding MN beer laws to service industry and best practices.
This course will include weekly curated tasting flights, supplies, as well as access to industry experts all in an intimate setting.
The semester runs from March 30th through May 25th. Class is held weekly (Wednesdays) at 7pm and will last approximately one hour.
