As-salamu alaikum,

Join us, along with Youth Undoing Institutional Racism and Students for Justice in Palestine, for Blackout Iftar!

During the month of Ramadan, Muslims who are able fast starting at sun-rise, and end at sun-set. Iftar is the meal used to break one's fast.

We will be screening "Malcolm X", a documentary starting at 7:00! After, we will have a short break for people to break their fast before we gather around with our food to have a discussion on the influence, history, and legacy of Black Muslims in America. We will also explore Islamophobia, linking past manifestations to the ones we see today.

This event is open to everybody! If you are able, we are asking for donations to help support each group and the work that we do! Suggested donations of $10 per person are highly appreciated, but y'all are always free to do more.
