Rinku Sen is the President and Executive Director of the national nonprofit Race Forward: The Center for Racial Justice Innovation and the Publisher of the award-winning news site Colorlines. Sen’s cutting edge book Stir it Up, read widely by community organizers and taught on campuses across the country, theorized a model of community organizing that integrate a political analysis of gender, class, poverty, sexuality, and other issues. Prior to her work at Race Forward, Sen served in leadership roles for over a decade at the revolutionary Center for Third World Organizing (CTWO), where she trained new organizers of color and crafted public policy campaigns.

Reception follows the lecture. FREE and open to the public - seating is first-come, first-served. Doors will open at 6 pm and we encourage you to arrive early if possible.

Nearest parking is East River Road Garage. The Mayo Memorial Building is also accessible by the Green Line (East Bank station).

Once you enter the building from the west or east entrance, you will be in the 3rd floor lobby. Take the elevator or stairs up one floor to the Mayo Auditorium on the 4th floor.
