This month, support access to healthy food.

Your supper money will support The Food Group [formerly called Emergency Foodshelf Network], which provides nutritious food and support services to more than 200 food shelves, meal programs, and hunger relief sites across the state. The Food Group is committed to increasing access to nutritious and cultural foods for hungry Minnesotans. Your help with provide good, quality foods at no cost to families during a time of need - foods that provide the nutrition that is often so needed and difficult on a limited budget.

One of The Food Group’s initiatives, Harvest for the Hungry, purchases produce from local farms to be given out at no cost to individuals visiting local food shelves. This program supports our local food system as well as our local neighbors to put healthy food on the table during a time of need.

You'll feast on local, organic food made by volunteers [you could be one!] with produce donated by Night Owl Farm. We'll feature The Beez Kneez, LLC bike-powered, locally sourced honey and mustard. Sign up to volunteer here! [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1clo2hFSlAWcoMOMkO2U5lM6vPIaKHVMEmw2Wsoy2I5E/edit#gid=0]

The feast is hosted at the The Beez Kneez, LLC Honey House in Seward. Beez Kneez supports healthy bees, healthy lives by establishing and maintaining hives in the Twin Cities, delivering honey by bicycle, practicing sustainable beekeeping practices and serving local beekeepers.
