BodyCartography Project says
This training will take place in the Twin Cities with certified teachers of Body-Mind Centering® Otto Ramstad & Olive Bieringa.

Embodied Performing Arts Training will provide training for emerging and mid-career performing artists. The certification training will take place over the course of two ten day trainings in 2015 for a total of 120 hours, during which participants will refine their creative process and performance work through self-study and group exploration.

Utilizing the somatic methods of Body-Mind Centering® (BMC) certified teachers Olive Bieringa and Otto Ramstad will lead an embodied approach to movement expression and creation. BMC utilizes experiential study through application of anatomical, physiological, and developmental principles in self-guided movement and sound explorations. It enables participants to experience in the present how an understanding of their evolutionary past directly influences their life, their professional practice, and in turn, their art.

Olive Bieringa and Otto Ramstad have been teaching Body-Mind Centering®, dance, and improvisation internationally for almost twenty years in contexts such as Impulstanz, Vienna, Movement Research, NYC, Ponderosa, Germany, Axis Dance Company, California, Lyon Opera Ballet, Lyon, and for BMC certification trainings for Moveus, Germany and Kinesthetic Learning Center, North Carolina. Their dance work has been presented internationally.

Tentative dates:
Part 1 June 1-12, 2015
Part 2 December 7-18, 2015
