Gender Reel Minneapolis is seeking submissions from local fimmakers living throughout the state of Minnesota.

This call runs for two months from March 25th -- May 25th.

Gender Reel, is the countries only film & art festival dedicated to enhancing the visibilty of gender non-conforming and transgender people, images and experiences.

This year, Gender Reel Minneapolis is looking to dedicate one evening of screening time (3 hours) to filmmakers living in Minnesota who are actively working to create films or media projects about gender non-conforming and transgender people, images and experiences.

Submissions can consist of narrative and documentary shorts and features, animation, media projects (so long as this can be projected onto a screen), web series (we would most likely show one or two provided they are no longer than 10 minutes each) and experimental films.

Any and all trans, GnC and cis-filmmakers are welcome to submit work provided this work is reflective of Gender Reel's mission ( you can read up more about our mission here

Submissions should be emailed to Joe @ Please include Minnesota Filmmaker in the topic line of the email, and make sure to attach a VIMEO/Dropbox copy of the film. Additionally, please provide the answer to the following questions within the body of the email:

1) Filmammkers preferred name
2) Filmmakers preferred pronown
3) Where you reside -- what city in Minnesota
4) Title of film
5) Lenght of film
6) Year film came out
8) 200 word description of the film
8) 200 word bio of the filmmaker

Individuals are also welcome to submit films to our general festival and can do so by following the instructions on our website submission page found @
