Altered Esthetics Solo Exhibitions Program is proud to present Halocene: Paintings by Kelsey Spring at the Nomad World Pub. Spring’s first solo exhibition opens Thursday, August 6th, 7-9 pm. This even is free and open to the public.

Kelsey Spring’s work is a series of mixed-media paintings and drawings that explore the shapes and patterns that humans create, both macroscopically en masse and on a cellular, microscopic level. Inspired by crowd psychology, overpopulation, and the beauty of biology, histology and the microscopic world, Kelsey’s paintings play with the balance between abstraction and representation, and individuality versus collective identity.

Kelsey Spring grew up in the Twin Cities area and received B. A. from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
