Healing Through Printmaking says
This space is being held specifically for youth to share and to heal within the current context of violence and marginalization happening in the world around us, specifically against Queer, Trans, Femmes, Indigenous and Native Communities, Folks of Color, among other communities at the intersection of marginalization. We ask that those who attend: Identify as youth between 12-22 and also that everyone be conscious of the purpose of the space and the space they may take up.

Together, we will learn and practice the art of printmaking on linoleum blocks. You do not have to have prior printmaking skills to particpate. Throughout the session, each participant will have the opportunity to create their own print that can be kept, as well as contribute their print to a larger piece that will exhibit in May.

We will provide plenty of paper to print on, and feel free to bring materials of your own. Full disclosure, we are using water-based ink and it will not usually set well on fabrics, but you're welcome to try!

This entire program will be free of charge and healthy snacks will be provided.

Registration not required, but let us know you are coming if you can at bit.ly/printmakingandhealing

Feel free to add music to our collaborative playlist on spotify that fits the message of the event: https://open.spotify.com/user/1220260861/playlist/64Y5Pb1mip8DMLtyGN2jJ4
