JOHN BEER is the author of The Waste Land and Other Poems (Canarium, 2010), which won the Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he lived on the Greek island of Patmos for two years in the late 1990s, where he served as literary assistant to Robert Lax. He currently teaches creative writing at Portland State University; previously, he reviewed theater for Time Out Chicago. He edited a collection of poems by Robert Lax, Poems (1962-1997) (Wave Books, 2013).

JAMALIEH HALEY lives in Portland, Oregon where she co-curates If Not For Kidnap and teaches writing. Her work has appeared in Interrupture, Sink Review, Everyday Genius, Sixth Finch, Queen Mob’s Teahouse, and she is the author of the chapbook Strange Tarot (Poor Claudia, 2014).

LUCY IVES is the author of four books poetry and prose, including nineties: A Novel, which will be reissued in June 2015 by Little A. She is the editor of Triple Canopy.

DANNIEL SCHOONEBEEK’s first book of poems, American Barricade, was published by YesYes Books in 2014. A chapbook, Family Album, was released by Poor Claudia in 2013, and an EP of recorded poems, Trench Mouth, is also available from Black Cake Records. His work has appeared in Poetry, Tin House, Boston Review, Fence, BOMB, Indiana Review, jubilat, Denver Quarterly, and elsewhere. He writes a column on poetry for The American Reader, hosts the Hatchet Job reading series, and edits the PEN Poetry Series. In 2015, Poor Claudia will release his second book, C’est la guerre.

RICH SMITH is the author of All Talk (Poor Claudia) and Great Poem of Desire and Other Poems (Poor Claudia). He is from Belton, MO, and is currently a poetry editor of Pleiades and the Visiting Professor of Poetry at the University of Central Missouri. www.richsmithpoetry.com

DREW SCOTT SWENHAUGEN is the co-creator of Poor Claudia and the Bad Blood Reading Series, and is the book designer for Octopus Books. He works and teaches in Portland, Oregon.
