Junket's 3rd Birthday: A Celebration Of Community & Change says
In late 2012, a sign was hung in the window of a vacant storefront on Minnehaha: "The ability to see beauty is the beginning of our moral sensibility. What we believe is beautiful we will not wantonly destroy." And so began the journey.

We've admittedly gotten a lot done in three years, but as we've come face-to-face and heart-to-heart with literally tens of thousands of beautiful people, it's also become clear that the real work of creating change has only just begun at Junket: Tossed & Found. The biggest lesson? It's simply not possible to solve one social problem without becoming acutely aware of the interrelated nature of so many complex social challenges.

And so, as we celebrate this milestone, we will also be seeking your help in supporting important work of others who are also addressing our community's challenges in brave, innovative, and beautiful ways.

So, after all that, what does that mean for this event? All good stuff!

Stuff like organic, fair trade, and local delectable goodness thanks to our friends at Common Roots Cafe.

Like live acoustic music by jazz guitarist Jeff Moore.

And libations via a cash bar, with proceeds benefiting MN Neighborhoods Organizing for Change (NOC).

We’ll also host a silent auction for the benefit of 15 Now Minnesota. This issue matters to us not only because our community members deserve a livable wage, but also because we recognize that in order for people to participate in solutions to address more abstract social problems (like climate change), we've first got to address their basic needs (you know: pay the rent and feed the kids).

There will, of course, also be shopping and community and connection and all of the silly stuff that you've come to expect from Junket. Do donuts and beer make for a happy combo? Come find out.

The more the merrier, btw -- please post and share and help us figure out how much nosh we'll need to order. :)

Thanks for seeing beauty, friends. Can't wait to see *you!*
