Queer Voices September Reading says
Intermedia Arts' Queer Voices reading series, curated for over ten years by Andrea Jenkins and John Medeiros, is kicking off the 2016-2017 season on September 27 with an evening of readings by Dale Gregory Anderson, Wendy Brown-Báez, Alan Lessik, and Ralph Winkelmeyer.

The longest-running literary reading of its kind in the country, Queer Voices has a long history of featuring both emerging and established LGBTQIA+ writers. The series offers writers and audiences an opportunity to share insights on content, style, and the cultivation of unique queer voices in the literary landscape. Since 2005, Queer Voices has featured more than 300 readers and spawned a deep community gathering space for LGBTQIA+ writers.

September's readers include accomplished and highly-awarded writers, a celebrated poet and prose writer who teaches in prisons and nonprofit organizations, a novelist with a background in figure skating, and a memoirist whose work provides eyewitness context to LGBTQIA+ history.
