Our Demands:

United Struggle Against Trump and Right-Wing Attacks!
- Linking the fight for women's rights to the struggle for Queer and Trans, Black, Indigenous, and Disabled Lives, immigrants and more through mass non-violent civil disobedience.

Fight All Forms of Misogyny!
- Fight against rape culture, transmisogyny, and all forms of patriarchy.

Fight for Economic Justice!
- Equal pay for equal work, for a $15 minimum wage - no tip penalty - no exemptions, childcare, parental leave, and education for all, legitimacy for all occupations including sex work.

For Autonomy Over Our Bodies!
- Full reproductive rights, medicare for all. End sexual harassment and the policing of our bodies.

Trump prepares massive attacks on reproductive and women’s rights, we must prepare massive resistance! January 21st, the historic Women’s Marches became one of the largest days of protest in American history, and were soon followed by tens of thousands of people shutting down airports with mass civil disobedience, and in the two weeks following Inauguration Day waves of protests have continued across the country. From this victories were won, with a temporary block on Trump’s Muslim immigration ban, and the withdrawal of Puzder as Trump’s nominee for Labor Secretary. These first victories show the power movements have when we disrupt “business as usual”.

With the nomination of DeVos as Secretary of Education, public schools will be a target of the Trump administration, which includes public colleges and universities. Students are already facing a bleak job market, and now with rising tuition and housing costs, we are falling into extreme debt before we even graduate. We cannot allow for more cuts while the administration enriches itself. To fight back students must link education struggles to other movements!

Millions of women in Poland went on strike last year against the government’s abortion ban, and they forced the government to back down. It will take this sort of mass non-violent civil disobedience to fight back and win in the face of attacks from Trump and the right-wing!

Students have played a key role in struggles of the past, and we must play a key role in struggles to come! Join in the Student Day of Action for International Women’s Day on March 8!
