On the first Saturday in March, fourteen artists are converging at Studio 359 in the Northrup King Building for a one-night only event of new works, bright tunes, and a little bit of mayhem. Ready to go see something fresh as these winter nights start to be old news? This must be the place. This Must Be The Place is a group show of new works on diverse surfaces: paper, panel, canvas, and a few items you might not immediately think of as painting or drawing material. Come to see work that pushes the limits of what you might consider 2D, and stay for a live performance by M A K E B E L I E F at 8 pm. (https://soundcloud.com/makebeliefmusic) Artists include: Julie Benda, Anna Biedenbender, Allison Brown, Bradley Neil Cook, Liza Dorsey, Preston Drum, Rachel Jennings, Niky Motekallem, Sarah Faye McPherson, Kathryn Miller, Alex Mitchell, Russ White, Jo Yeh, and Eric Yevak. This event is free and open to the public.
