A frost advisory in effect for the Québec area.

In the midst of peak fall foliage (check out this 2025 autumn local colours map), and some unseasonably warm weather predictions (Montreal should see temperatures hitting highs of 25 and 25 degrees Celsius this weekend), a weather alert has been issued for frost.

According to an Environment Canada update at 11:19 a.m. this morning, temperatures will drop to near the freezing mark overnight tonight in multiple areas across the province, with localized frost could persist until Thursday morning.

The advisory urges Quebecers to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
