Experience the magic of Tobin’s sculptures at night during our inaugural First Thursday Nights in the Garden. Tobin’s magnificent sculptures are the backdrop for an evening of music, dance, live performance and great food and drinks for the entire family.

Site Specific Installation by New Dialect and Intersection on the grounds of Cheekwood Botanical Gardens

This outdoor restaging of Banning Bouldin's Murmuration will launch into an exciting hour of sight-specific exploration among Steve Tobin's Steelroots sculptures. Live music by Intersection contemporary music ensemble will accompany the performance.

New Dialect seeks to redefine the experience of its audience members by stepping outside the traditional parameters of the theater with performances and dance films created specifically for urban spaces, galleries, parks, and green ways.

Intersection was born from Kelly Corcoran's desire to bring a professional contemporary music ensemble to Nashville. With Intersection, Corcoran is setting out to challenge the traditional ways that audiences interact with music in the concert experience and to expand the musical language of Nashville, by focusing on repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries for medium-sized ensembles.
