Irish Fest New Orleans says
The second annual Irish Fest: New Orleans encourages attendees to kick off their shoes and join dancers as they jig, stomp and leap celebrate Irish culture in New Orleans on Saturday, October 17, 2015, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Kingsley House in the heart of the Irish Channel.

High-energy folk-punk band The Zydepunks will headline Irish Fest New Orleans with Yiddish riddles, Irish ballads, Cajun punk, and vocals in six languages.

The festival also reunites New Orleans Irish folk group, The Poor Clares, featuring singer Betsy McGovern, mandolin player Patrick O'Flaherty, flutist and multi-instrumentalist Justin Murphy, and bouzouki-playing songstress Beth Patterson.

Also playing at Irish Fest will be Wild Irish Roots, New Orleans Strathspey and Reel Society, Paul Tobin (formerly of The Balsa Wood Flyers), Richie Stafford & Friends, and The New Orleans Celtic Harp Ensemble.

The portion of proceeds from festival food sales will support Lantern Light. Festival Buttons will be sold in advance only, but tickets will be sold on the day of the festival. Advance tickets (buttons) are $12.00 and tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00.
