The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation is pleased to host an exhibition of works by the Louisiana photographer Zack Smith.

"My Louisiana Muse," Smith's series of large-format film portraits of Louisiana artists, will be on display from Sept. 12 to Oct. 7 at the Jazz & Heritage Gallery (1205 N. Rampart Street). The gallery's opening hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Admission is free.
We will host an opening reception:
Saturday, Sept. 12
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Zack Smith is a highly respected photographer who is known for his images of Louisiana musicians and artists. He is also an official photographer for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell.

His project, My Louisiana Muse, finds him immersed in the worlds of his fellow Louisiana artists, people who inspire him and whose inspiration he wanted to explore. He used the early 20th century Bromoil inking process on his large-format film prints to capture images of Louisiana artists in the places where they feel most inspired.

My Louisiana Muse was supported in part with funding from the Community Partnership Grants program of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
