The Howlin Wolf New Orleans says
On Thursday May 28, New Orleans musician Cliff Hines of the local prog rock/art pop/jazz group Hildegard, posted to the world every touring musician’s nightmare: his band’s van had been broken into while on tour in San Francisco. All 20 + items, including some rare vintage gear and custom pedals were gone (not to mention that two of the van’s windows were shattered), leaving a seemingly priceless tag on the damage. Hines, who’s acclaim has very few boundaries, having played with the likes of Christian Scott, Mike Dillon, Gravity A, and host of others, and Hildegard’s co founder Sasha Masakowski, who’s critical acclaim spans a plethora of genres and continents, were on day 15 of a their 19 day album release tour. Luckily, they were able to soldier on, ending their run in Austin on June 1.

On Friday June 12, The Howlin’ Wolf and Live For Live Nola (a recently developed off-shoot of national music syndicate Live For Live Music) will host the “Pack The Van” benefit concert to help raise funds to replace the stolen gear. Performers include Space and Harmony, a side project featuring members of The Revivalists and Naughty Professor, plus an All Star Super Jam featuring Cliff Hines, Paul Thibodaux, and Max Moran, plus members of The Revivalists, Earphunk, Gravity A, Naughty Professor, and a host of others.
