The All Star Covered Dish Country Jamboree says
This Tuesday is stacked with such amazing musicians it was nearly impossible to choose how to curate this evening of incredible sounds. From tender-hearted love songs to rollicking Country Blues, each of these bands play and write music that goes to the heart and soul of what it means to grow up and find your way through music in the South. To say you'd be a fool to miss our opening band, Alvin Dixon and the New Orleans A-Team, would be the understatement of the year. Mr. Dixon is one of our great songwriters, here, in New Orleans-but y'all can be the judge of that when he and the A-Team steal your hearts. Paul Weber and the Scrappers are on the road from Colombia, Missouri bringing us original true Honky-Tonk from the Bible Belt. Another native Missouri boy, turned New Orleans into his home several years ago, and we've had the pleasure of hearing Todd Day Wait and his band, Pigpen evolve into a gorgeous meld of Western Swing and old-timey Country original ballads and dance numbers.
Bring a Dish and Yer Dancin Shoes Y'all, it's a good one!
