It may have been 14 years since the last Harry Potter book and 11 since the final film, but the world is far from over its obsession. Thanks to the ongoing Fantastic Beasts spin-off series, a whole new generation of young fans is picking up the books – and now a huge new exhibition on JK Rowling’s Wizarding World is set to tour six continents from 2022.

Drawing on all of the Harry Potter and ‘Fantastic Beasts’ stories, a brand new show entitled ‘Harry Potter: The Exhibition’ will feature recreations of iconic scenes from the books and films, alongside exhibits of original props and costumes. The show will tour major venues throughout North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.

The exhibition is being run by Imagine Exhibitions, which has previously produced hit touring shows on Downton Abbey, Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent van Gogh. Each venue will cover between 10,000 and 20,000 square feet, and the first is to be announced in the coming months.

(And if you find yourself experiencing déjà vu right now: yes, a previous ‘Harry Potter: The Exhibition’ has spent the past decade touring the US, Europe and Asia – but this one aims to be more comprehensive and up-to-date.)

Want to dip your muggle toes into the Wizarding World? Forget running into a wall on Platform 9 ¾ – Hogwarts itself could be pitching up right outside your front door.
