One of those rare sequels that satisfied kids, parents and studio bean counters alike, ‘Frozen 2’ has been an epic hit for Disney. It made $1.4 billion at the box office – the biggest animation ever – spawned a fresh batch of empowering ear worms like ‘Into the Unknown’ and cemented Olaf’s place as everyone’s favourite jaunty snowman. But the story is not over: Disney has just announced that a new six-part documentary series will be landing on Disney+ next month.

Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2’, which lands on the streaming service globally on June 26, promises to capture ‘an eye-opening view of the challenges and the breakthroughs, the artistry, creativity and the complexity of creating the number one animated feature of all time’.

As per the behind-the-scenes footage above, expect contributions from co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, as well as cast members Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Josh Gad (Olaf) and Jonathan Groff (Kristoff and Kristoff pretending to be Sven). We’re #TeamAnna, obvs.

And if you haven’t seen ‘Frozen II’, it’s available on Disney+ now.
